I think I'd prefer Loctite to lock washers on those bolts once I have everything perfectly in place. I'd use it on the headblock bolts as well. I've used Loctite in racing engines, and those things Really Vibrate. Loctite is an anaerobic resin(drys in the absence of air), and acts like epoxy on the threads of bolts and screws.

Four bolts seems a little overkill top me. Would two be enough? Would it change your mind if it was a good quality plywood instead of mahogany epoxied on under the fingerboard extension?
